Spell check: Freedom or Freedumb?

“They’re both pronounced the same way and rightly so. The latter is still not considered a legitimate English word. This should be addressed momentarily as such a categorization is direly needed. Is the problem with the former or with the latter?” That is what Socratease, whose name is coincidentally pronounced the same as the famed Socrates’ rhetorically asks.

Socratease is a self-declared philosopher, publisher of many unread books and articles; a walker of many empty university hallways & classrooms. Is he the ultimate misunderstood and underrated genius? Or is he just another wannabe? Only future history will tell.

My short dialogue with Socratease:

Ash: What is Freedom?
Socratease: In absolute terms, it is the ability to tell you good day or piss off. It is the ability to slap you on the face or to pat you on the back - irrespective of the consequence of your action & whether you should do it or not (i.e., right & wrong)
Ash: what, then is Freedumb?
Socratease: Elementary. They are people, intellectually and ethically challenged, who are given freedom; they are the freedumb.

Freedom vs. Freedumb: An old story retold

A revolution starts in some country; there is a large procession. Those who have organized it and are leading it, chant:

“We want food
 we want clothes
 we want our guardians
 to help us more.”

The rest of the procession, with equal passion, chant:

“We want booze
 we want ho’s
 we want the Asgardian*
 give us Thor*”

The revolution is won. And from that brightest point in time, the compromise between those chanting the first line and those chanting the second begins. The revolution is maimed…

*Asgardian is someone from the fictional realm of Asgard.
*Thor is a fictional god from Asgard.
